{"id":16,"date":"2008-08-05T11:21:04","date_gmt":"2008-08-05T02:21:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mediabiotope.com\/projectswp\/mediaexprimo\/wordpress\/2008\/08\/84-fusion-member-from-the-medi.html"},"modified":"2008-08-05T11:21:04","modified_gmt":"2008-08-05T02:21:04","slug":"84-fusion-member-from-the-medi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mediabiotope.com\/projects\/mediaexprimo\/2008\/08\/84-fusion-member-from-the-medi.html","title":{"rendered":"8\/4 Fusion members from the media lab of UIAH, Finland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since late July of 2008, Kari-Hans Kommonen and Sanna Marttila, the project coordinator and project manager of <a href=\"http:\/\/p2p-fusion.org\/\">P2P-Fusion<\/a> project, and also members of <a href=\"http:\/\/arki.uiah.fi\/\">the ARKI (ARKI means &#8220;everyday&#8221; in Finn) project in the media lab, University of Art and Design Helsinki<\/a> of Finland, has visited Japan.<br \/>\nKari-Hans Kommonen and we have known each other since 2000, have done several research events together and shared the possibility of participatory design activities on information technologies and many other matters.<br \/>\nThis time, they visited <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediaexprimo.jp\/archives\/yokanken2\/\">&#8220;Zu-Ji workshop&#8221;<\/a> of Yokan Kenkyujo in Kagaku Miraikan, and had travelled to Osaka and Sapporo.<span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"display: inline;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"080727_1309~0001.jpg\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mediabiotope.com\/projects\/mediaexprimo\/080727_1309~0001.jpg\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" class=\"mt-image-right\" style=\"float: right; margin: 0 0 20px 20px;\" \/><\/span><br \/>\nOn August 4, we got together at the Fukukate Hall of the University of Tokyo and had a discussion about the future collaboration between Fusion and Media Exprimo. I was very interested in their concept, &#8220;co-design&#8221;, software &#8220;toolkit&#8221; for community people. In 2006, they had exhibited some design arts in ARS Electronica.
